About the Program
Many real-world scientific problems cross the boundaries between disciplines. The Honours Bachelor of Science degree is a flexible degree for students who want a rigorous science education without being locked into a specialized major in their undergraduate education. This program allows you to take courses across multiple science disciplines and broadly prepare for careers or further education in various sciences as well as humanities, arts, and other areas of interest.
This is a highly customizable degree that allows students to work with their academic advisors to follow their own science education pathway. Studies begin broadly in the first year and narrow into a personalized scientific profile in their upper years. Importantly, if you find yourself interested in a specialized major, such as Biology or Chemistry, you have the flexibility to transition into another degree program at any time.

Applied Learning Opportunities
Gain real-world experience, build marketable skills and apply theories learned in the classroom through Experiential Education (EE) at York. These hands-on learning experiences can occur within a course, community, or work/professional setting and include opportunities such as co-op, internships, practicums, placements, capstone projects, field courses, community-based research or case competitions that happen in a class.
